IN HAND POINTS COMPETITION 2008
RULES
£25 to the overall winner has kindly been donated by the Sarum Stud
- The completed form must be sent to Laura Moore, 2 Hansard Cottages, Romsey Road, Awbridge, Hampshire, SO51 OHG as soon as possible after 31st November and no later than 20th December 2008.
- The Competition will run from 1st March to 30th November 2008 inclusive. The best points total from a maximum of 10 shows, 2 classes per show will go forward to the final results (championships are allowed in addition to the 2 class per show allocation, as they are part of the original class). Multiple day shows can count as 1 show per day.
- An official signature must be obtained, either the judge, Show Secretary or her/his assistant of each show, District Commissioner or Secretary of any Pony Club competition or the Organiser of an event or a SCWPCA committee member. Random checks of results will be carried out against the published results.
- The entry fee of £3.00 per pony entered must accompany the entry form. Entries will only be accepted from members who have a fully paid subscription for the full period of the competition.
- All ponies must be owned by members of the Association and must be registered in the Stud Books, the Appendix or the Part-Bred Register of The Welsh Pony and Cob Society. Registration numbers and breeding must be entered on the entry form. The Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings of any age.
- If a pony entered in the competition changes ownership during the year, points earned may be transferred to the new owner ONLY if they are members of the Association.
- Points may be accumulated at any shows which are held in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Isle of Wight, Berkshire and Dorset providing the classes are judged by a WPCS panel judge or NPS Panel judge. This will also include the Royal Welsh, Northleach and Bath and West Show.

Supreme Champion = 50 points
Reserve Supreme Champion = 40 points
Champion = 30 points
Reserve Champion = 20 points
- Personalised rosettes will be awarded at the Annual General Meeting each year. There will be awards for the following categories for each section and part-bred. 1) Best adult, 2) Best youngstock, 3) Best gelding, and Special awards to 1) Best pony overall, 2) Best exhibitor overall and 3) to the best members stud with ponies earning the most points entered in the competition regardless of exhibitor.
