Golf Tennis and Soccer
So it’s good to see Rory McIlroy back to winning golf tournaments. He has been out since July with an injury to his knee that happened whilst he was playing soccer with friends. He recently won the Race to Dubai for the third time in four years and this indicates that 2016 will be a very competitive year at the top of the golf rankings, with Jordan Speith and Jason Day both having very good years while Rory has been out. He has said that he will be taking sport more seriously from now on and focusing 100% on his golf, which will probably mean no more soccer games with his buddies. Really looking forward to 2016!
In soccer, the Champions League group stages are nearly over and there are still a few places up for grabs. Bayer Munich and Barcelona look the favourites at the moment, with Barca maybe edging it. When you have Messi, Neymar and Suarez up front I think you could win anything and everything. If you watch the match against Roma you will see just how devastating they are. Awesome soccer. Chelsea look certain to progress and Arsenal have to do what they have never done before; win in Greece if they want to get through.
In Tennis Djokovic is finishing off his season in style with wrapping up the Dubai Masters with a win over Roger Federer. He is proving to be the stand out best player in tennis over the past couple of years. Fair play to Roger though for keeping going and showing that if you have the desire, then you can keep playing the sport you love. What a player!
