Hey everybody. How have you all been? Welcome back to the blog once again. Just a quick post today. I want to talk about how much I enjoy badminton. It is such an accessible sport and so much fun to play. I can either play at my local leisure centre or knock up a net in my back garden at the weekend. It’s a relatively fast sport so is excellent for cardiovascular fitness and all round balance. It’s also suitable for people of all ages to play. You can slow it down to your own level of ability. The equipment is relatively cheap when compared to other sports and even if you play it at your local sports centre it is only a few pound per session. (Just make sure you book in advance. People can get quite territorial about the court if you steal their slot). Rackets are relatively cheap and can be bought in sets of two and shuttlecocks cost next to nothing. The net and stand are the most expensive investment but still not that much in the great scheme of things. If you want to give badminton a try you should get in touch with your local club or sports centre and book a session. You may even be able to get an instructor to show you how it is played. If not, you can easily find the rules and plenty of tutorial online, so don’t worry. Equipment is included when you book a court so don’t go out and spend any money until you have at least tried it out first.
I’ll be back with a longer post soon folks. I haven’t quite decided on the the topic yet but I promise to make it a good one. Until then, take care and don’t forget to get out on that badminton court!
